The Legend of Zelda (ゼルダの伝説) is a high fantasy themed action-adventure series created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto, Takashi Tezuka and Eiji Aonuma. The manga team of Akira Himekawa has been producing manga adaptations of the The Legend of Zelda video games in Japan beginning with their manga adaptation of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which was first published in 1999.

Akira Himekawa is the pen name of a duo of female comic book artists. The artists have worked together since 1991 and have not chosen to reveal their real names.
